  • 2024 Hybrid Credit Forward - Michigan Virtual

    Utica Community Schools, in conjunction with Michigan Virtual, is pleased to offer an online learning experience to current secondary UCS students. This program will afford students an opportunity to earn an additional one-half credit toward graduation requirements per online course. Michigan Virtual is only being accepted by UCS for credit forward, not credit recovery. Students must meet with their school counselor to select the appropriate course to fulfill UCS graduation requirements. Final semester exams must be taken in the presence of a UCS employee, students will earn a letter grade that corresponds to the UCS grading policy for the online course. Policy 6210 Electronic Course Credit. The letter grade will be reflected on the student’s high school transcript, class rank and GPA points. Who would benefit from this program? Students in grades 9-11 will use a nationally accredited online learning system in order to restore credit towards their high school graduation requirements.
