AEROBIC JAZZ Total Body Work Out The first 30 minutes will consist of stretching; working on the upper body muscles, waist, sit-ups, lower leg muscles, triceps, biceps and other major areas. Light hand and/or ankle weights are encouraged to get the toning effect. The other 30 minutes of class will be dedicated to the fun jazzy steps to get you hopping and hollering while listening to top 40’s music. CLOGGING Beginner Clogging 6PM - 7PM (10 Weeks - $65) Clogging today is a like a cross between line dancing and tap dancing. It's a folk dance that started in the Appalachian Mountain region. ln this session you will learn beginner steps done to a variety of music. If you have never danced before then this is the class for you. Beginner clogging is only offered in September. No partner necessary. Easy Intermediate 7 PM - 8 PM (10 weeks - $65) This class is for those who took the beginner class last year and those you have clogging experience. We will lean new easy to easy intermediate dances and also lean/review dances from the National Dance list. All cued. Clogging Club 8 PM -10 PM (10 weeks - $65) ln this class we learn intermediate to easy advanced dances. Review past dances. Open dance. Practice for shows. We will also work on our April show themed dance "Musical Icons." Keep having fun since we started here in 1998!! DIGITAL ANIMATION This course is designed to introduce students to the basics of digital animation. The primary goal is to empower students with the foundational skills necessary to create simple animations, fostering creativity, storytelling skills, and technical understanding. Students will learn about key animation concepts such as frame-by-frame animation, tweening, and interactive media, and will apply these concepts in practical projects. Final Projects or Artifacts: Each student will create a short animation using the skills and techniques learned throughout the course. This animation should tell a simple story or convey a message and must incorporate various animation techniques taught during the sessions. EISENHOWER EAGLES YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB The Eagles Wrestling Club will provide folkstyle amateur wrestling instruction (style used in high school) to all levels: "Beginning" to "Advanced". In addition to weekly practices, wrestlers will have the option to participate in MYWA-Metro Region tournaments during the season. We are limiting this to students who are expected to go to Eisenhower. Additional Cost: Students wishing to participate at a competitive level should visit the online wrestling store to purchase the competition package items. The primary objectives of this course are to introduce students to coding concepts, boost their creativity, and nurture their digital literacy skills. TGA GOLF TGA Junior Golf brings the golf course to your child's school. Children learn swing fundamentals, putting, chipping, rules, etiquette and life values in a safe, nurturing environment. All equipment is provided and TGA promises a student-coach ratio of 6-1 or better. All first-time students receive a TGA cap and student workbook, plus a hat clip on final day. BALLET (5-11) Ballet training will focus on proper body placement, alignment, posture, and fluidity of movement. Ballet will help maximize technique and flexibility, all while learning technique and terminology. Ballet will introduce dancers to the five positions, piles, and other beginner appropriate skills. Dancers will use the barre, center floor, and across the floor to work on their technique. BALLET/TAP (4-6) Combo classes are a great choice for our new dancers, as it introduces them to a basic classroom structure while having fun and learning about dance! Dancers will learn beginner ballet terms and positions, and beginner tap rhythm and timing. Class Information Ages: 5 - 11 4 - 6 (Ballet/Tap) Dress Code (5-11): - Shoes (Pink Ballet Shoes; NO slippers; Please speak with teacher before purchase) Dress Code (4-6): - Shoes (Tap - Black Patent Tap Shoes; they make no-tie options which is great for this age!) - Shoes (Pink Ballet Shoes; NO slippers; Please speak with teacher before purchase) POLICIES Parent Viewing: Parents will not be allowed in the classroom during class time as it can become a distraction to our dancers. COMPETITION TEAM Instructor permission required - please inquire for audition information. Our UDC Competition Team is for dancers who want to take their training up a level, with a chance to focus on more challenging technique and choreography, as well as gaining additional performance experience. We focus on giving our dancers the tools to not only improve their dancing, but to improve their self-confidence and personal growth as well. JAZZ Competition Jazz will work on combination skills and choreography, with more focus on harder technique, power moves, and flexibility training. LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY Competition Lyrical/Contemporary will contain technique, skills, and partner work all meant to draw the audience in to the performance. Dancers will continue to advance their musicality and self-expression through the choreography. SOLO/DUO/TRIO Competition dancers may be invited to compete with a solo, duo, or trio for the season. Please speak with an instructor to sign up for a time slot. Recital: Our June Recital will be dependent on the ongoing enrollment of each class. We will need to maintain enough students throughout the year in order to successfully put on a show. Thank you for your understanding! Class Information Ages: 12 - 18 Dress Code: - Any form fitting leotard, t-shirt, or tank top. - Dance pants, shorts, leggings, or capris. - Shoes (Lyrical/Contemporary) (Nude colored canvas half-sole; Please speak with teacher before purchasing) - Shoes (Jazz) (Tan Jazz Shoes - slip-on; please speak with teacher before purchase) POLICIES Parent Viewing: Parents will not be allowed in the classroom during class time as it can become a distraction to our dancers. CREATIVE MOVEMENT (3-4) Creative movement introduces young children to dance through imaginative play, props, and interactive music! Kids explore basic dance concepts while practicing turn-taking, sharing, and following directions--all in a fun and playful environment! Class Information Ages: 03 - 04 Please Note: - NO PARENT PARTICIPATION - CHILDREN MUST BE POTTY TRAINED POLICIES Parent Viewing: Parents will not be allowed in the classroom during class time as it can become a distraction to our dancers. This policy is for all ages. We will invite parents in to watch at the end of certain classes and let you know ahead of time so that you can be present. Bathroom Policy: Parents of little ones, we ask that you or a designated adult be responsible for all of your child's bathroom needs. Instructors will not be able to leave the classroom, and we believe this will maintain parents, instructors, and children's comfort levels. The best choice is to have your child use the restroom before class begins.
