AEROBIC JAZZ Total Body Work Out The first 30 minutes will consist of stretching; working on the upper body muscles, waist, sit-ups, lower leg muscles, triceps, biceps and other major areas. Light hand and/or ankle weights are encouraged to get the toning effect. The other 30 minutes of class will be dedicated to the fun jazzy steps to get you hopping and hollering while listening to top 40’s music. Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid and Safe Home Alone
Youth & Teen Enrichment
CERTIFIED BABYSITTER / FIRST AID AND SAFE HOME ALONE Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. One-day class. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. No refunds or credit with less than 24-hour notice. If you need a medical exception, email Live Safe Academy at info@LiveSafeAcademy.com before class. Bring a snack, pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break. Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early. Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being of younger children without adult supervision. Please check in your student at the beginning of class. Drop off and pick up is in the same room as class. This class sometimes ends late, approximately 10 minutes. CLOGGING Beginner Clogging 6PM - 7PM (10 Weeks - $65) Clogging today is a like a cross between line dancing and tap dancing. It's a folk dance that started in the Appalachian Mountain region. ln this session you will learn beginner steps done to a variety of music. If you have never danced before then this is the class for you. Beginner clogging is only offered in September. No partner necessary. Easy Intermediate 7 PM - 8 PM (10 weeks - $65) This class is for those who took the beginner class last year and those you have clogging experience. We will lean new easy to easy intermediate dances and also lean/review dances from the National Dance list. All cued. Clogging Club 8 PM -10 PM (10 weeks - $65) ln this class we learn intermediate to easy advanced dances. Review past dances. Open dance. Practice for shows. We will also work on our April show themed dance "Musical Icons." Keep having fun since we started here in 1998!! CRAYOLA LEGEND & LORES: TALES Each week, kids dive into epic myths and bring legendary creatures to life using vibrant Crayola® materials. From sculpting the soaring Kun Peng to painting the fiery Phoenix, designing the powerful Grootslang, and bringing mysterious sea creatures like the Kraken to life, they’ll use simple techniques with big creative impact. Every project tells a story—and builds skills in design, storytelling, and self-expression. Led by trained instructors, this STEAM-based adventure (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) is perfect for creative kids, daydreamers, and storytellers. EISENHOWER EAGLES YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB The Eagles Wrestling Club will provide folkstyle amateur wrestling instruction (style used in high school) to all levels: "Beginning" to "Advanced". In addition to weekly practices, wrestlers will have the option to participate in MYWA-Metro Region tournaments during the season. We are limiting this to students who are expected to go to Eisenhower. Additional Cost: Students wishing to participate at a competitive level should visit the online wrestling store to purchase the competition package items. A link will be provided in your confirmation email in late-September. STEAM STUDIO Students in this class will get a weekly introduction to an area of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), and time to explore and create with what they've learned. Some opportunities will include creating with 3-D Doodlers, building with Keva Planks, Legos, and Minecraft blocks, using Sphero Indis and bee-bots, and more. UTICA DANCE CENTER BALLET (5-11) 02 This is the second session for BALLET (5-11). Ballet training will focus on proper body placement, alignment, posture, and fluidity of movement. Ballet will help maximize technique and flexibility, all while learning technique and terminology. Ballet will introduce dancers to the five positions, piles, and other beginner appropriate skills. Dancers will use the barre, center floor, and across the floor to work on their technique. BALLET/TAP (4-6) 02 This is the second session for BALLET (4-6). Combo classes are a great choice for our new dancers, as it introduces them to a basic classroom structure while having fun and learning about dance! Dancers will learn beginner ballet terms and positions, and beginner tap rhythm and timing. Utica Dance Center: Competition Team 02

UTICA DANCE CENTER COMPETITION TEAM 02 This is the second session of COMPETITION TEAM. Instructor permission required - please inquire for audition information. Our UDC Competition Team is for dancers who want to take their training up a level, with a chance to focus on more challenging technique and choreography, as well as gaining additional performance experience. We focus on giving our dancers the tools to not only improve their dancing, but to improve their self-confidence and personal growth as well. JAZZ Competition Jazz will work on combination skills and choreography, with more focus on harder technique, power moves, and flexibility training. LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY Competition Lyrical/Contemporary will contain technique, skills, and partner work all meant to draw the audience in to the performance. Dancers will continue to advance their musicality and self-expression through the choreography. SOLO/DUO/TRIO Competition dancers may be invited to compete with a solo, duo, or trio for the season. Please speak with an instructor to sign up for a time slot. Recital: Our June Recital will be dependent on the ongoing enrollment of each class. We will need to maintain enough students throughout the year in order to successfully put on a show. Thank you for your understanding! UTICA DANCE CENTER CREATIVE MOVEMENT (3-4) 02 This is the second session of CREATIVE MOVEMENT (3-4). Creative movement introduces young children to dance through imaginative play, props, and interactive music! Kids explore basic dance concepts while practicing turn-taking, sharing, and following directions--all in a fun and playful environment! UTICA DANCE CENTER HIP-HOP 02 This is the second session for HIP-HOP. Hip-Hop is a high energy class that has its roots in street dance and uses Popular Pop and Hip-Hop music to create a fun atmosphere! Classes focus on rhythms, personal expression, and dynamic movements while improving technique and building confidence. Hip-Hop is a continually evolving style of dance, which is seen in music videos, commercial work, and many social media accounts. Class Information Ages: 5-11 Dress Code: - Comfortable dance attire (Such as: T-shirts, Tank Tops, Dance Pants, Sweatpants, and Joggers) - Shoes (Comfortable athletic shoes; NO Sandals or Slip-ons) POLICIES Parent Viewing: Parents will not be allowed in the classroom during class time as it can become a distraction to our dancers. UTICA DANCE CENTER LEAP & TURNS 02 This is the second session for LEAP & TURNS. Leaps and Turns is a great class for those that want a little extra technique in addition to their regular dance classes. Dancers will work on flexibility, balance, strength, and receive tips and tricks for higher leaps and solid turns.
