Music for Little Mozarts
Youth & Teen Enrichment
Music for Little Mozarts was created to provide appropriate piano instruction for 4 1/2 to 7 year old's. The materials in the course combine to create an exciting and imaginative atmosphere both in the lesson and at home. Rental Instruments are available for all classes. $21.00 plus tax book fee due the first class, payment will be taken at the Studio. PARENT PARTICIPATION WITH CHILD IS REQUIRED. PLEASE, NO SIBLINGS IN THE LAB.

School Age Child Care
SACC is a multi-age program for students in Kindergarten through sixth grade. All UCS child care programs are licensed by the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. We offer: Before and After School Child Care Break Camps Summer Camp Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year - Please read all the information below before registering. Registration will open on Tuesday, July 16th at 7:00am. How to register for the SACC sites available for AM and PM Care. For AM Care (if available) you will select and register at your child's school. For PM Care, you will select and register for the location that your child will be attending SACC, which may not be their school location. For example: Graebner students needing PM care would register at Havel PM SACC. Non-Refundable Registration Fee $60 per child / $75 per family Absences will be charged at the regular rate for sessions a child is scheduled to attend. Student’s schedule for the entire school year is required during registration. Once the schedule is submitted and approved, the account owner is accepting responsibility for payment of scheduled days. Schedule change requests will only be accepted during designated weeks. Tuition payments are billed and charged the Friday prior to care. Outdoor Games (Grades 5-6)

This course will give students all the necessary skills and knowledge they need to play some great outdoor games. Each week will focus on skill work, drills, but mostly playing these great games. The three week class will consist of Lacrosse, Kickball, and Capture the Flag. Students will be learning the rules, strategies, and good sportsmanship in these outdoor activities.

UCS Early Childhood
Utica Community Schools offers a variety of early childhood programs for young children and their families. Click on a link below to learn more about each program. Traditional 3 and 4 Year Old Preschool Early Childhood Montessori Full Day Preschool Infant and Toddler Early Learning and Care Great Start Readiness Program To begin the registration process, you must create an account in Eleyo if you have not done so already. Once you have created an account, or logged into your existing Eleyo account, you will be able to select a preschool program from the choices below. Follow the prompts to select the location and course section. You must complete all sections of the registration contract request and enter your method of payment. Your account will not be charged until your contract request is approved. Please have the following information ready while completing the registration request: Name of your child's home school Your first and second choice of class (classes can be found in our Early Childhood brochure) Method of payment (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express) All applications are processed in the order in which they are received. Space is available at each school on a first come, first serve basis. Registrations will be accepted until classes are full. If your requested class is full, you will be placed in your second choice and remain on a waitlist for your first choice. Your contract status for that class will show as pending, indicating your child is on the waitlist. Once you have completed the registration process, all contracts must be approved by our office. Placement is not guaranteed until you receive the email confirmation. Rising Stars (Grades K-2)
After School Enrichment
In this four-week course, students learn and practice invaluable skills to help them develop into future athletes. The classes will consist of speed and agility work, as well as body control. We will work on sport specific skills, like throwing, catching, kicking and striking. During each session students will participate in fun and exciting lead up games for sports like soccer, basketball and baseball. Lastly students will learn the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Robotics and STEAM Fun!

Students in this class will get hands-on experience using coding skills to program various robots and microbits. They will also get additional coding opportunities using Osmos. Other activities that students will participated in include creating with 3-D Doodlers, building with Keva Planks, and completing some Lego challenges. This class will be great for returning and beginning students!

Seal of Global Language
Registration is open from January 22, 2024 to March 1, 2024 AAPPL and OPI & WPT Assessment will be taken at home for the 23-24 school year. Refer to the Seal of Global Language Pathways for further information. Refer to the Seal of Global Language FAQ for further information Register through Community Education January 29, 2024, thru March 1, 2024. Click on the link to register through Community Education to test for the Seal of Global Language. https://ucscommunityeducation.ce.eleyo.com/ Students taking an assessment for World Language credit, must fill out the application and submit to your school counselor for processing. Within 24-48 hours and email will be sent from Teachingandlearning@uticak12.org with next steps. Assessment Window: Begins: February 5, 2024, and Ends: March 22, 2024.

Soccer Skills Camp by CHAMP Camps is a 3-session camp for girls and boys designed to introduce, reinforce, and enhance age-appropriate soccer skills. This is a non-contact camp, and all sessions will be indoors. Wear workout clothes and gym shoes. This camp is taught by Gary Chapp. Gary has taught elementary physical education in Utica Community Schools for 25 years and has coached 55+ different seasons in his 25 years as a coach in youth, junior high, and high school athletics. Skills and concepts being taught include: different ways to dribble; passing; different ways to trap/control the ball; instep (shoelace) kick; inside of the foot kick; headers; basic goalie play & more. A skilled-based lead-up game will also be played.

Refunds will be granted if cancellations are requested 7 days prior to the start of classes minus the $5.00 processing fee. Material, book, and disk fees will not be refunded. TGA Golf
After School Enrichment
TGA Junior Golf brings the golf course to your child's school. Children learn swing fundamentals, putting, chipping, rules, etiquette and life values in a safe, nurturing environment. All equipment is provided and TGA promises a student-coach ratio of 8-1 or better. All first-time students receive a TGA cap and student workbook, plus a hat clip on the final day. Returning students receive a different gift for their level, plus hat clip. Please note: This is an afterschool enrichment program intended for the students that are enrolled at the school where the program is being offered.

UCS All Stars Basketball Train and Play Winter II
Sports Camps
Participants will learn basketball fundamentals through individual and team drills and games. Players will participate in modified game play that focuses on learning the rules of the game. Each one-hour session will be fast paced and filled with activities that will engage all skill levels. 3rd grade *** If your third grader needs a modified hoop height, you will want to register them in the 2nd-3rd grade session. The 3rd-4th grade session is only for 3rd graders that can shoot on a regulation hoop (10 feet). Jerseys Required All players need to have a black/white reversible UCS All Stars Jersey. PLEASE NOTE: TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON ENROLLMENT. All start times will be between 9:00am-11:00am. If a change is needed, it will be communicated via email to the address that is provided at registration.

Ukulele for Fun!
Youth & Teen Enrichment
If you've always wanted to strum your way into some sing-along ukulele tunes in the keys of C,G,D,F, and Bb, this Ukulele 101 class is the place to start. You don't need to know how to read music to play the uke, you'll learn to play by using the uke chord box system. Its FUN! You may bring your own uke or purchase a uke at the studio. $17.00 plus tax book fee due at the first session, payment will be taken at the studio.

The mission of Velocity Jr. is to provide relevant, hands on learning experiences in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M) to Preschool - sixth grade students of Utica Community Schools.
