Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

Kids embark on an exciting journey to distant lands, discovering unique societies and meeting the people who call them home. They’ll explore time-honored art techniques and, using Crayola® materials, create stunning masterpieces like Aboriginal dot art from Australia, European block prints, Pakistani truck art, and Russian jeweled eggs — all to take home and build their own art gallery! Note: Globetrotters and Explorers after-school programs are independent of each other, kids can participate in either or both without needing to complete one to join the other.

From sea creatures of the deep to phoenixes in the sky, every society has its legends and lore. We’ll tell their stories through paintings, sculptures and other works of art. These tales may inspire awe, curiosity or surprise, but they all inspire our imaginations! Kids experiment with different art techniques using Crayola® supplies to bring their ideas to life. Each class is all about designing a one-of-a-kind mythical creature. Parts 1 and 2 of the after-school program independent of each other, kids can participate in either or both without needing to complete one to join the other.

Imagination encircles the world.” - Albert Einstein The Creative Writing Club, brought to you by Afterschool Enrichment Solutions, is designed to ignite the imaginations of young writers, foster their love for language, and cultivate their creative expression. Through exploration of classic literature, inspiring writing exercises, creative language games and collaboration, students will explore different genres, learn and practice grammatical concepts, develop their writing skills, and build confidence in their ability to communicate effectively.

Players will learn the basic skills of tennis including groundstrokes, volleys, serving, singles and doubles strategy, and how to keep score. Camp will incorporate practices and match play. This is an opportunity for middle school students to grow their motor skills and prepare for the opportunity to play a sport offered at the high school. And while having a blast, you'll uncover a wealth of scientific facts and theories, transforming learning into a bubbling cauldron of pure excitement!

Classes focus on the fundamentals of player development: dribbling, passing, shooting, trapping and how to use them effectively in a game. We will take players through weekly sessions of fundamental skill building and competitive drills/games to build confidence and competence. "Teaching life through sports" Swing into Skyhawks Beginning Golf, powered by Payne Stewart Golf Experiences. Our fun, games-based approach and specialized equipment ensure early success. We teach key skills, like putting and chipping, through engaging activities. Ideal for beginners and those who want to improve. Join us for joyful progress on the greens!

"Teaching life skills through sports" Dive into Skyhawks Multi-Sport! Perfect for kids eager to try various sports. This program teaches essential skills and rules across different games. Beyond skill development, participants learn sportsmanship and teamwork, making new friends and memories. Each day is a new, exciting adventure!

Join us for Storytime STEAM, a creative and hands-on class designed just for curious minds in grades K–4! Each session begins with a short, engaging story, followed by exciting STEAM challenges (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) inspired by the tale. Read Not a Box and transform everyday materials into something extraordinary. Dive into The Three Little Pigs and test your building skills against the "Big Bad Wolf." Get inspired by Iggy Peck, Architect and design sky-high towers and strong structures! In every class, students will read, imagine, build, and explore — learning through play, teamwork, and discovery.

TGA Junior Golf brings the golf course to your child's school. Children learn swing fundamentals, putting, chipping, rules, etiquette and life values in a safe, nurturing environment. All equipment is provided and TGA promises a student-coach ratio of 8-1 or better. All first-time students receive a TGA cap and student workbook, plus a hat clip on the final day. Returning students receive a different gift for their level, plus hat clip. Please note: This is an afterschool enrichment program intended for the students that are enrolled at the school where the program is being offered.

Learn the frontend and backend of mobile game and app development! Students create games in Blockly with the MIT App Inventor and gain an understanding of game design. Concorde Education instructors guide students as they create simple games like Mole Mash, Galaga, and build up to more challenging and original games. This course is perfect for someone looking to begin their computer programming journey. Students need their laptops for this class. Weekly Take Home Artifact – Students will be able to show progress on the video game they are developing

Join Coach Taylor as he teaches the fundamentals of basketball; dribbling, passing, and shooting. You will also learn the basic rules of the great game of basketball.

Students plan, design, and create their own 2D games using Construct 3. Students learn to create sprites, build levels, and add basic code to make their creations come to life. This class is perfect for new students and students that have done iCode Gaming Tech Clubs previously!
