Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. One-day class. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills. Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early. Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being of younger children without adult supervision. Please check in your student at the beginning of class. Drop off and pick up is in the same room as class. This class sometimes ends late, approximately 10 minutes. Bring a snack, pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break.

Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

Kids embark on an exciting around-the-world adventure, exploring distant lands and their people. They experiment with Crayola® products and try art techniques from local artists, creating locally-inspired masterpieces like vibrant alebrijes from Mexico, Polynesian tiki masks, Chinese rattle drums, and African mud art — all to take home and share! Note: Explorers and Globetrotters after-school programs are independent of each other, kids can participate in either or both without needing to complete one to join the other.

From sea creatures of the deep to phoenixes in the sky, every society has its legends and lore. We’ll tell their stories through paintings, sculptures and other works of art. These tales may inspire awe, curiosity or surprise, but they all inspire our imaginations! Kids experiment with different art techniques using Crayola® supplies to bring their ideas to life. Each class is all about designing a one-of-a-kind mythical creature. Parts 1 and 2 of the after-school program independent of each other, kids can participate in either or both without needing to complete one to join the other.

Kids learn about amazing animals and find out how wildlife conservationists are working to protect species around the globe. They have fun experimenting with a variety of art techniques and use Crayola® art materials to create polar bear sculptures, frog paintings, design their own three-dimensional patterned snake, and ink diffusion jellyfish! Note: The Eco Heroes and Animal Rescuers after-school programs are independent of each other, kids can participate in either or both without needing to complete one to join the other.

Transform afterschool into an adventure of art and discovery with YR! Our students will explore basic composition with our Fish Below Ice drawing and will travel to the Great Wall of China right from their desk. Are you the next "American Idol"? Come and find out. Learn the fundamentals of good vocal technique. This music program requires no previous musical knowledge. $26.00 plus tax book fee due at first session, payment will be made at the studio.

Classes focus on the fundamentals of player development: dribbling, passing, shooting, trapping and how to use them effectively in a game. We will take players through weekly sessions of fundamental skill building and competitive drills/games to build confidence and competence.
