Graceful Moves Dance Holiday Sessions

Enrichment / Youth & Teen Enrichment -
Fall 2024
Tap & Ballet Combo (Ages 3.5-5.5yrs old) A combination of Tap and Ballet in the same class! Children will learn ballet, tap steps, counting music, stretching, proper dance technique, and the vocabulary of dance.
  • Girl’s attire: Leotard and tights with shorts/skirts (no pants are allowed).
  • Boy’s attire: T-shirt and gym shorts.
  • Recommended shoes for girls and boys:
  • Tap: Bloch Tan Tap Mary-Jane style with buckle.
  • Ballet: Girl's - Capezio pink Juliet, Lily, or Daisy. Boys - black Juliet, Lily, or Daisy.

 5:15-6:00pm
Jazz (Ages 3.5-5.5yrs old) Driven from ballet technique, Jazz uses vast forms of originality, improvisation, strength, and precision. Strong leaps, jumps, and turns are learned in this class along with fun, style-based movements!
  • Attire: Leotard and tights, shorts, or skirt (no pants).
  • Recommended shoes: Capezio caramel Gore boots EJ2.

Tumbling (Ages 4-7yrs old) Learn to tumble and stunt. Start with learning forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, headstands, handstands, etc. and gradually work into walkovers, handsprings, and aerials. No gymnastics training is necessary for these classes.
  • Girl’s attire: Must have a leotard and shorts or leggings (no loose articles of clothing).
  • Boy’s attire: T-shirt and gym shorts.
  • Students may be barefoot or wear gymnastic shoes.

Lyrical (Ages 8 & up) Emotionally modern based form of dance using both jazz and ballet techniques fused together to show facial and bodyexpressions.  Ballet experience is necessary for Lyrical.   Ballet & Lyrical class must be taken simultaneously. Ballet (Ages 8 & up) This class will teach your dancer the beginning fundamentals of ballet.
  • Recommended shoes: Capezio split-sole canvas pink or split-sole Hanami (no slippers).
  • Attire: Leotard and tights, skirts are optional (no pants allowed).

Hip- Hop (Ages 8 & up) Great for BOYS & GIRLS! This class gives you everything that is HOT! Learn to dance to today’s music with a little twist of old school funk and some poppin’. This class is fun for ALL AGES, a good way to exercise and learn while having a blast!
  • Attire: Leotard and tights, shorts, or capri pants (no long pants).
  • Recommended shoes: Black split sole dance/jazz sneaker or clean, white-soled tennis shoes. *Shoes may not be worn outside.

  • Recommended Shoe: Carmel Gore Boot, soft-soled or dance shoes.
  • Attire for girl’s and boy’s: Comfortable dance clothing (no baggy clothing).
