What is Post-Secondary Preparation Workshop?
This workshop is for students entering grade 12, who are seeking guidance and support as they begin to plan for post-graduation. Students can attend one or all of the workshop sessions offered. A computer is required for each session the student attends.

Resume writing.
How to search post-secondary options
Tuesdays & Thursdays
Letters of Recommendations
How to request transcripts for the college application process through Xello

Matchmaker(how you find your career) in Xello
Skill Lab(how your career would function) in Xello
Learning Style in Xello
Fridays:
Scholarship & college application essay writing
Create a portfolio through Xello
How do I register?
Go to https://ucscommunityeducation.ce.eleyo.com/ to register online.
Online registration will open on Monday, April 29, 2024, and will close on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Is there a cost for this program?
No, this program is supported by grant funds for the summer of 2024.
When will the course be available?
The course and mentor sessions begin Monday, June 17, 2024, and end Friday, July 26, 2024.
No class on Thursday July 4, 2024, or Friday July 5, 2024.
Where are the sessions located?
Henry Ford II High School 11911 Clinton River Road Sterling Heights 48313
Will transportation be provided?
Yes, a bus will be available at Eisenhower High School, Stevenson High School, and Utica High School.
Pick up at 7:45 a.m. for transportation to Henry Ford II High School
Return to home high school between 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. for pick-up
Transportation to be indicated upon enrollment.
What time are the teacher led sessions?
8:15 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Free breakfast is provided
8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Post-Secondary Preparation Workshop
11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Free lunch is provided
12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. Transportation to high school hub for pick-up
Will my child need their school computer?
Yes. Your student will need to bring their school issued device and charging chord to each session. More information regarding devices will be provided in a follow up email in late May 2024.
Additional Information:
This is a drop-in workshop. Your student can come at any time between 8:30am-11:30am. Also, your student may pick and choose which days to attend.
