What is Summer Bridge to Algebra I?
This course extends skills and concepts related to the critical areas of Math 7 and Math 8 to better prepare the student for Algebra I.
Who should enroll in this course?
Is there an absence policy for this course?
Yes, the summer session attendance policy does not provide for more than three (3) absences. There are no exceptions to this policy. There are no excused absences. If a student is absent for more than 3 days, the student will be dropped from the course.

Online registration will open on Monday, April 29, 2024, and will close on Friday, June 14, 2024.
When does the summer session begin?
Classes begin Monday, June 17, 2024, and end Friday, July 26, 2024.
No session on Thursday July 4, 2024, or Friday July 5, 2024.

Will transportation be provided?
Yes, a bus will be available at Eisenhower High School, Henry Ford II High School, Stevenson High School, and Utica High School. Students will need to be at their potential high school by 7:45 a.m. for transportation to Eppler Junior High School. Transportation will return students to their potential home high school between 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. for pick-up.

What time is the class?
8:15 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Free breakfast is provided
8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Summer Bridge to Algebra I
11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Free lunch is provided
12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. Transportation to high school hub for pick-up.
Will my child have homework to complete for this course?
No, all work will be completed during class time.
Is there a cost for this program?
No, this program is supported by grant funds for the summer of 2024.
Will my child need their school computer?
Yes, your student will need to bring their school issued device and charging chord to each session. More information regarding devices will be provided in a follow up email in late May 2024.
Will my student receive a grade for this program?
Your student will not receive a letter grade for this course. Each student will be evaluated at the end of this course. Information from this evaluation will be shared with schools to finalize placement into Algebra I for the 2024-2025 school year.
