Your child must be enrolled at the school where the after school enrichment class is being held.

The credit recovery program is for high school students in need of make-up credits; students must have failed or lost credit in the course in order to enroll. *Students must schedule an appointment or email their school counselor to determine needed course(s). IMPORTANT: Students will earn a ½ credit for each course successfully completed. Students will receive a letter grade for each course completed. Students must attend 2-hour sessions each week until course work is concluded. All assessments must be taken in the presence of a credit recovery instructor. Students can access their course from home at any time. Courses are NOT NCAA eligible. All courses offered will use the Edgenuity program. These are computer courses that are self-paced and require a student to be on task and motivated. While there is a teacher available for assistance, there will not be direct instruction. Class schedule follows UCS calendar. When there is no school, class will not meet.

Registration is open from January 22, 2024 to March 1, 2024 AAPPL and OPI & WPT Assessment will be taken at home for the 23-24 school year. Refer to the Seal of Global Language Pathways for further information. Refer to the Seal of Global Language FAQ for further information Register through Community Education January 29, 2024, thru March 1, 2024. Click on the link to register through Community Education to test for the Seal of Global Language. https://ucscommunityeducation.ce.eleyo.com/ Students taking an assessment for World Language credit, must fill out the application and submit to your school counselor for processing. Within 24-48 hours and email will be sent from Teachingandlearning@uticak12.org with next steps. Assessment Window: Begins: February 5, 2024, and Ends: March 22, 2024.

The mission of Velocity Jr. is to provide relevant, hands on learning experiences in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M) to Preschool - sixth grade students of Utica Community Schools. Velocity Jr. instills 21st century skills derived from innovative, hands on curriculum through the utilization of differentiated learning modalities, while providing a stimulating, engaging, and collaborative community. REFUND POLICY: Please contact the Community Education office regarding all class concerns or refund requests. A full refund is guaranteed only if UCS cancels a class. Unless otherwise indicated, refunds will be the amount of tuition minus a $5.00 processing fee. Refunds will be granted only if cancellations are requested seven days prior to the exact start date of class, minus the $5.00 processing fee. If a refund is requested less than seven days prior to the exact start date of the class, you will receive a credit voucher to your account minus the $5.00 processing fee that will need to be used for another class offered by Community Education by June 30th of the current year. Supplies, trophies, T- shirts, etc. will not be refunded. If a class is cancelled, a full refund will be issued back to the original form of payment. No refunds will be paid in cash. No refunds will be given once classes/camps begin. Classes/camps will not be pro-rated if participant is unable to attend class for any circumstance. There are no refunds or make up dates for cancelled sessions due to inclement weather or building closures. All returned checks are subject to a $25 processing fee. NOTIFICATION OF CLASSES: In the event of cancellation or change to the class/camp you or your child are enrolled in you will be notified by an email, phone, or text using the email and phone number listed in your Eleyo account. Please check the location and date of your selected class prior to the start date. If the school is closed for any reason, classes will not be held. There will be no make-up dates or refunds for classes cancelled due to inclement weather or building closure. There will be no make-up classes or refunds for classes if participants are unable to attend.
